as in Busy&Best - and as in my bf visited me.
(Sorry for the late update, I didn't have time to post this last Sunday, as I usually do.)
Uneventful Monday
Really, it was just school and I went swimming after classes, this time with Anna. She is also pretty great, her fly and breaststroke techniqe being flat out impressive. My friends keep impressing me with their swimming, don't they? :D Anyways, I swam 3400meters this time, which is a small achievement in itself as I think in the last few years the most I swam at once was 3200m, tops. So I am getting back into shape.
Oh, and the Irish folklore teacher was almost totally comprehensible today, what a wonder!

Lucky chill Tuesday
So Tuesday started out pretty great: while cycling to university in the morning, we got no red lights and this was the second time in a row as we hadn't gotten any on Monday either. This is like a miracle, we usually have to stop two or three times, at least. So then we had an EFL class, neither less nor more boring than usually. After the EFL class we had a nice long lunch break with the Brazilian guy who we befriended last Friday at the International Party. His name is Vini and he is really fun to hang out with.
After school I cycled home alone because Eszter and Vera stayed for a krav maga table quiz, and on my way home I met a bunch of cows in our street, so close to the fence (and thus, the road) that I just
had to stop and take a selfie with them. They kept mooh-ing at me, those friendly scary cute buddies.
When I got home I didn't really feel like studying or reading, so I just decided to watch a movie.
Atonement is really awesome and is worth watching but brace yourself against angst and pain.

Busy Wednesday
Wednesdays tend to be pretty stuffed, and this one was no exception. We almost didn't go to Irish folklore lecture in the morning, simply because it seems a total waste of time and it is early and because so far we got soaked by rain every Wednesday. But this morning the weather wanted us to go - our deal was not to go if it was raining, and though cloudy, there was not a single raindrop when we got up. So we ended up going. The most useful wisdom from the lecture as follows: "We dress ourselves for practical reasons". Well, thank you very much.
After this lecture and a quick Irish language tutorial, we headed to an event called 'Study Abroad fair' where we were just standing behind a desk for an hour and told about Hungary and education and Erasmus to anyone who came there to inquire. In exchange, we got a free lunch voucher (worth 7EUR) for the Stables and a cupcake.
Then we had a pretty okay EFL class, less boring than usually and then we went to the
post office (that is, Oifig an Post) with Eszter. I posted two postcards, one to my grandpa and one to my other grandparents. Since then, they got the cards and were very happy about them. :)
Before training, we spent some time in the library, doing basically nothing. I listened to music and did some research on Masters degree possibilities, since the application deadline is closing in on me and I still haven't yet decided where to go.
At archery, we had much fun again. I really like the people there and we are getting better at it week by week. This time I got to
pop two of the three balloons we got!! Up until this point, I could pop none, it was always someone else who did it, but not this time, man, not this time! I popped the balloons like a pro. (Okay, not really, but it still feels good because, with or without luck, I achieved something.) After training we went over to the pub Scholars' and we had a nice chat and a cider.
When I finally cycled home, it was raining of course. Not just a bit. But when I was kinda halfway home a car suddenly slowed down next to me and drew over and it was Tom, the landlord. He gave me a lift so I got home a few minutes earlier and less tired. He also gave a lift to Eszter and Vera just a few hours prior to that, so it was really our lucky day, that he was just driving home when we were cycling on the same road.

Pleasant and fun Thursday
After the usual rain of Wednesday, it is not uncommon to have some sunshine on Thursday. And we did have it again, so warm that you could even feel the sun on your face, caressing your skin with its light touch.
As we had a free lunch voucher to Stables from the previous day, we headed there after our TESOL classes with Eszter and had a nice lunch which made me so full I was contemplating not going to training, as it was only half an hour after I finished my lunch. But I did go and it was a good idea as it went pretty well.
After swimming I had a literature lecture and then we went to a
table quiz organised by the archery club, which was really fun. We didn't win, lost only with 3 points to the winner team, in fact, which was especially annoying since we saw them cheating. Which means, if they hadn't cheated, we could have won. Unfair. But anyways, we had fun, and that is what matters. And the knowledge that we did not cheat and still got a pretty high score.

Friday of preparation and happiness
I had a morning practice in the swimming pool and then headed to Sultan's place. She is a girl in my EFL class and we met up again this week to talk about our group presentation with Oliver and Pontus. We talked about our topic (Music) and song choices while drinking coffee and eating cookies. Then I left and did some small shopping in Lidl, then vacuum cleaned my room after I got home, in preparation for
my boyfriend's arrival. And then we kept texting while he was on the bus from Dublin to Limerick, and finally, I cycled to the bus stop where he was going to get off the bus. And I got there and waited and then the bus finally came and I saw him up there and he was suddenly standing right in front of me and then he hugged me and kissed my lips and hugged me more and it was his scent in my nose and his arms around me and oh dear Merlin, he was finally there with me!
So we went to Lidl to buy some sweets (he loves Maltesers so much but we don't have that in Hungary, at least not in most shops and never for a fairly okay price). Then we walked home and cooked dinner and talked some with Eszter and Vera. And mostly just enjoyed each other's company.

A special weekend
Though my weekend basically started Friday afternoon when my boyfriend arrived. On Saturday, we got up pretty late, had a small breakfast and a quick lunch and then spent the afternoon in the city centre, basically shopping. I know it's not his favourite pasttime activity and, to be honest, usually not my cup of tea either, but I wanted to show Penneys to him and we ended up buying some Harry Potter themed stuff for me. Hehe. So cool. And a Spider Man hat and gloves for my lil bro who will soon have his 6th bday and I won't be there so I wanted to send him a present.
Then we ate churros and went to Tesco, wanting to buy ingredients to hamburgers, as Bence promised to make some for us. And he even bought salmon - something I wanted badly for weeks now but never had the heart to spend that much money on it. It wasn't even that expensive here, but still. :D
So then we walked some around the city and headed back home. We had to walk from the bus stop since Bence didn't want to cycle (understandable with all those things we bought) and so we got home only about 5 minutes before Eszter and Vera did, even though they stayed in the city centre longer. For dinner, we made hamburgers - that is, he made them and I helped with all the chopping. Eszter and Vera both loved them, of course. My bf is a true chef. I missed his burgers so much.
On Sunday, we walked in to the campus and I showed him around: the UL Arena, the PESS building, Main Building, library, languages building, the Living Bridge, where we sat down for a time to rest, then back to the Courtyard, Stables and then home. On our way home we stopped at McDonald's and had a cheeseburger because he wanted to compare the cheeseburger they sell here and the one you can get in Hungary. He found some differences in taste but I think they are basically the same. When we finally got home we were really tired, as the past two days we walked a lot.
On Monday, we spent most of the morning and early afternoon cuddling, so not being ready for his departure.... but then the time came and so we walked to the university and he got on the bus and left for Dublin. Oh god, I am a sap but I did cry when he left. This is the worst thing in being on an Erasmus semester.... and basically the only disadvantage.
But now I have to look forward to meeting him again - whether here in Ireland at the end of November or at home in December. We'll see.
